Apa Khabar!  Macammana jari ini kamu?  Hari ini saya adalah sengat baik.  Saya Harapan bahawa kamu alalah embira dan kesihatan.

So last Sunday I was sitting in relief society when this adorable girl stands up to tell us about her conversion story.  Where is she from?  MALAYSIA!!! and she bears her testimony and talks about how the missionaries got her here and now she's on a mission and I was just bawling.  So after the meeting I ran up to talk to her and I yelled "apa khabar" because I was excited to have someone native to speak with and so we start talking and she is so sweet.  She thanks me and Sister Norton about 1000 times for going to Malaysia and teaching her people and serving the Lord and I just started to cry again.  It was so sweet.  This work is real.

Another thing, there was an explosion of scandinavians that came here!  Elders from Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Norway.......my people!  I talk to them and they say "Yensen" and then they all tell me I look scandinavian and that makes my heart grow about 18 sizes.

Do me a favor.  Go to LDS.org and watch the easter movie.  It's like the Mormon message or something.  It's like 5 minutes long.  That little clip is incredible.  On Sunday's and p days we watch it like 8 times.  I cross referenced all of the scriptures it uses and then we translated everything into Malay and it was just amazing.  I have been studying during personal time a lot about Christ.  His life, His personality, what He did, how He acted, etc.  I'm preparing to go teach people who don't know Christ.  So it hit me after about a week of being here that in order to teach about Christ to these people, I needed to know him like I know Sister Norton.  So I made it a goal to study as much about Him as possible and I am amazed at how much I've learned and how much my love has grown.  It has been such a blessing and a strength to me to learn about Him.

Dizz has her call and you won't tell me where.  I started SCREAMING.  I am so excited.  Please text her and tell her to let me know today so I can find out.  I need to start researching everything for her from the sisters already going to her mission.  Oh my gosh, I tear up when I think about it.  She is incredible.  I am so proud of her and so happy for her.  If only I knew where she was going...........

I learned that if you make friends with people in high places, you get blessed with outside world food like polish dogs from "Jay Dog's".  It was the most delicious thing I've had here.  Tons of sauerkraut and banana peppers and special sauce and ooooooohhhhhhhhh it was delicious.  If you are in Provo, do some research and go!

Every day I see miracles at the MTC.  And so many answers to my prayers.  I think I didn't feel like I was receiving a ton of answers to my prayers before my mission because I didn't get how it worked.  Sometimes we will get answer randomly without even doing anything.  I've had that happen here.  But most of the time, it's during my studies I get my answers.  We have to put forth some effort and show God we really want to know, and He will guide us to where we need to go study.  I have such a strong testimony of this because it happens daily.  My answers come from other people a lot as well.  Two examples:  1 - it was SYL day yesterday (no english) and Sister Norton and I were practicing contacting people outside.  We did okay but struggled on what to say in the thirty seconds we have to make a good impression.  So that afternoon, we prayed to know what to talk about.  Then, my teacher comes and writes the schedule on the board.  We start class and she says in Malay, "actually we aren't going to do this today.  I feel like we should study the questions of the soul" so we studied that.  And what do you know, I learned that questions of the soul are great things to contact people about.  These questions are like, Where am I going after I die? or Is there really a God? or Does He know me?  First prayer answered!  2 -  I remembered this scripture that went something like "I will go before your face, angels will bear you up...."  I was frustrated because I wanted to find the reference and could not figure it out.  I went to a devotional on Sunday and the BYU men's choir came.  A boy from the choir decided to share a story from his mission, and he ended with the EXACT scripture I had been searching for.  I used to think these were coincidences, and now I realize these for the miracles that they really are.  Little blessings.  I am so grateful for the growth I have been able to experience here, even just recognizing how blessed I am and how much God loves me and wants to help me.  It's amazing.

I am so ready to go to Malaysia!!!!!  18 days left.  I love you all so much.

(side note - Dizz is Amanda DeMille and she has been called to serve in Ukraine.  She is leaving for the MTC on August 10th.  Lisa has been blessed with incredible friends.  Our hearts and prayers will be with Amanda now as well.)
